What I do when I’m not on Instagram

Obviously being an influencer takes up a ton of my time. Like, a ton. If I’m not replying to comments or messages, I’m taking and editing photos, typing up captions, and responding to emails. It’s a lot of work.

Add on being in school and working two jobs, and there’s only a little bit of free time. So, what do I do in this free time? This was hard for me to come up with, and I thought it was dumb at first, but it’s literally what I do in my free time.

Collect Rae Dunn.

If you don’t know what Rae Dunn is, you’re missing out. She sells dishes (and now home decor items) with words and sayings on them. The most popular things are her mugs which are not perfectly circular and that makes them unique. Her stuff is sold at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods, and the mugs are only $5.99. It’s pretty popular on Instagram which is how I got into it. A lot of influencers use her mugs in their photos.

I only have about 35 (I say only as if 35 mugs isn’t excessive) but there are still so many I want! I’m currently hunting for one that says “hot mes.”

I literally go to a Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Home Goods multiple times a week. There’s a Marshalls in the same plaza as my job so that doesn’t help, but I’m always searching for new mugs to add to my collection.

It’s fun because she’s always coming out with new stuff and you never know what you’ll find. Usually if something is there one day, it won’t be the next, and two different stores won’t have the same stuff, so it’s really satisfying when you find good or very wanted items. The holiday mugs are very popular, and I’m lucky enough to say I found a red “merry christmas” mug. Super proud of that.

Do you collect Rae Dunn? What’s your hobby? Let me know in the comments below.

XO, Allison
