My Crazy Holiday Week

I’ve been super MIA the past few days because I’ve been so busy. I didn’t have classes Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (hello, much needed break).

Wednesday I spent the majority of my day Christmas shopping. I went to a bunch of stores and I actually bought most of my gifts. Then I had to work until 10:00 pm, which is late for me.

I woke up Thursday at 5:30 in the morning and I drove 2 hours to my parent’s house for Thanksgiving. We had coffee and treats in the morning with my family and then we went out to lunch. After lunch I had to drive 2 hours back, and work until midnight. Mind you, at this point, I’m dying to get some shopping done.

Friday I had to work from 11:00 to 5:00, which was basically my whole day and I was still super tired from Thursday. But after work I ended up doing some shopping. I went to Walmart, but all I got there was a pack of meal prep containers for $7. So I decided to try Target. I like Target better anyways, but Walmart usually has good Black Friday deals. I must’ve went too late. At target I realized that FOUR of the gifts I had bought on Wednesday were on sale for much cheaper so I bought them again and will be returning the ones I previously bought. Yeah, I’m that person (lol).

Saturday I had to work from 10:00 to 6:00. If you’ve ever worked retail, you know that an 8 hour shift is like the longest ever. Combine that with being on your feet all day, dealing with rude customers, cashing people out, it was just a crazy day.

Now it’s Sunday morning and I’m pretty sure Syracuse is under a winter storm warning, so that’s nice. I need to meal prep, take Instagram pictures, get gas, return stuff to Target and then I have work at 3:00. My store is open later now because of the holidays so I’ll be working til 9:30.

This week is my last week of classes and then I have finals the following week. I can’t wait for things to slow down so I can enjoy a couple weeks off.

How did you spend your holiday weekend?

XO, Allison

  1. Wow, you had a busy week and weekend! It wasn’t a holiday here in Canada but we were busy! In laws visited, husband and I went shopping kid-free, then yesterday we relaxed!
