My Health and Fitness Journey

This is hands down the topic I get the most questions on, so I’m going to start sharing more. Starting from the beginning.

I’ve always loved working out and lifting weights. For a while, I would go to the gym 5 days a week after school or work. I never really paid attention to what I ate, though.

Once I moved into my own place, I got so busy that I really put working out on the back burner (excuses, excuses). There were weeks where I went to the gym 5 days and there were weeks where I didn’t go at all. I had so much going on between school and work that I just didn’t make it a priority unfortunately.

When COVID started and we had to quarantine, I told myself I was NOT gaining weight while staying at home. I started working with a coach, Stefanie (follow her here), who I actually went to high school with. She looks amazing but so does every single one of her clients. I was so nervous to start but I knew how much I loved working out and I really wanted to get back into it.

I did accountability coaching with her and with that she has you get a meal plan so that she knows what you’re eating. The meal plan was pretty easy for me to follow. I liked all the foods on it so that was good since it was probably the part I was the most nervous about. With accountability coaching, she basically sends you written workouts and checks on you during the week.

I told myself to just give it the full month. I paid for a full month, and if I slacked I was really only cheating myself. After the first day I woke up feeling more energized and less bloated. After three days I could see changes in my body already. And after a week the differences were crazy, both mentally and physically.

I’m on my fourth month and I’m super happy so far. I was slacking around the time that I moved but I got back on track. I can’t wait to see where I am in another few months!

April to June following my meal plan and workouts from Stefanie.

I’ve quite a few of my friends sign up with Stef after seeing my results in such a short time. Each one of them are loving it and seeing results too! That being said, I wanted to let Stef introduce herself and talk more about what she does.

Hi babes, my name is Stefanie Martinelli aka That Fit Bitch Stef. I am a fitness instructor, accountability coach and personal trainer. I’m also a mother and fiancée. It’s safe to say that fitness is my calling. Growing up I never truly knew what I wanted to be when I “grew up.” I always said, “I just want to help people.” Most people who say that eventually become nurses, police officers or some sort of secretary. Not me, I got comfortable with becoming uncomfortable.

Instructing and coaching may be one of the most awkward career choices I’ve ever made. But it was a jump worth taking. I’ve had the pleasure of working with over 1000 women within the last 3 years. I’ve learned a lot along the way. What works best, and most importantly, what doesn’t. I find that as a coach and motivator, its best to be myself. 90% of coaches that I have encountered are very similar. They have the three B qualities, bland, boring and bitchy. Sorry to be blunt but this is Stef. HONEST. I find that being myself has brought me much success. I maintain a balanced lifestyle, allowing me to relate to my clients and their struggles. I am no fitness robot. I promise that during our classes and sessions I will struggle just as much as you do, as I should.

I found that the fitness industry was flooded with all of the same options. Personal training and fitness classes. But there was a serious lack in what people needed to most of. SUPPORT. That’s when I decided to start accountability coaching. Coaching where I am 1 on 1 with my clients via text messages and phone calls. Giving them the actual support they need at all times of the day. Is it hard on me? Of course, it is. But if you actually want to help someone and make a difference in their lives you will go the extra mile.

I offer accountability coaching, personalized meal plans, accountability groups and personal training. I’m always looking to raise the bar so my services will expand in the near future. Please reach out to me for more information!
